Every beloved pet should have some form of tracking system so you will not have to deal with the heartache of losing a furry family member. It is a fact that pets occasionally wander off in search of food, fun or a playmate. Cats and dogs usually come right back to the owner after a day or two of fun, but sometimes they do not. Spare yourself the worry and loss by outfitting your dog or cat with a small tracking device.
Not just for children and cars, a GPS tracker can pinpoint your pet’s exact location. There are many options for pet tracking systems. A popular method is to use an implanted chip. If an animal shelter finds the pet, they will scan the ear for a tracking chip and find out the name, address and phone number of the owner. However, this will only work if the dog goes to a shelter or a vet’s office.
Another method of tracking your pet is to use a radio tracker. It fits around the neck as a collar and emits a signal when the owner presses a handheld tracking button. This is fine if the pet is nearby, but not if he or she is 100 miles away from home. The best option for a pet tracker is a GPS system. The transmitter can also fit around the neck. If the pet ever goes missing, the owner can log into their GPS account online and locate his cat or dog very quickly. There are no GPS implant products right now, but there probably will be in a few years.
If you love and cherish your pet, you must take every measure to protect him or her. An animal cannot pick up the phone and call for help! Do not force your pet to walk around scared and lonely; purchase a tracking device and reduce the risk of permanent loss.
